Exclusieve preview nieuw boek over fans
Fans zijn bijzonder. Vandaag de dag lijkt het wel alsof iedereen een fan is, waardoor je makkelijk vergeet dat fans in de jaren ’80 nog veracht en gemarginaliseerd werden. Fans lijken voorop te lopen in mediagebruik: die dingen die zij doen worden later gemeengoed. Voorbeelden zijn transmedial storytelling (het vertellen van een verhaal over verschillende platformen) en cocreatie. Er wordt volop onderzoek gedaan naar fans en dit veld wordt fanstudies genoemd. In 2014 verschijnt de Ashgate Research Companion to Fan Cultures, een bundel vol actueel onderzoek en theorie over fans. De bundel is samengesteld door Koos Zwaan, Stijn Reijnders en mij. Vandaag was ons werk klaar en ging het manuscript naar de uitgever. Daarom hier een exclusieve preview van de inhoudsopgave. Later uiteraard meer!
